I think so too as it happened to me recently. Being kind to people you think needs that kindness and only for them to snap at you because they are feeling miserable and bitter about life and themselves. We have to choose the wisest decision at that moment and that is to leave them alone. Despite your effort to be kind, some don't deserve it. Don't let them pull you down into their darkness.

Either have the kind of people you know 100% you can fall back on, or rely on yourself.

@SW-User I just cant sit by and watch them in pain. I'm just not strong enough to help most people it seems

@SolGryn Why take it personally though? It is very possibly not about you and about their readiness to receive help.
It's a good idea to just let them know you're around when they need you.

@SW-User I never said it was about me. I just have a hard time seeing people down and out with seemingly no one there to help them get back up. It's stupid but that's just how I am. Thanks for the chat

I know that feeling, I never give up on people I love tho. I’m hoping that maybe in time they’ll see that all I wanted to give was love and support.
