I Love Cooking For People I Love

Well, I don't "love" her, but she's a good friend and bartender and the other night she poured me $40.00 worth of Bailey's Irish Crème.(Sans charge!) I had to re-pay her. She said "If you want, those stuffed peppers" I knew she meant Jalapeno poppers.
Bought 6, took the tops off, cut them in half lengthwise, seeded them. Placed them in buttermilk. Prepared the filling: Ham steak, run through a f/processor, then threw in a pan with brown sugar and butter, threw in some jalapeno jack cheese finely cut up (seasoned w/ cumin, chili powder and paprika) Then after draining the halves, I filled them. Next the three step. Flour, egg wash, bread crumbs (seasoned croutons, half ranch half onion & garlic-run through the food processor too). Filled all, refrigerated them until firmed up. Deep Fried for three minutes. Then placed a slice of jalapeno jack cheese that I soaked in Frank's hot sauce atop each half and placed in the oven at 250Funtil the pieces of cheese started to melt. DONE!

Made Jasmine Rice as per directions. Zooted it up w/ Sazon, cumin, turmeric, Italian seasoning, chili powder, and hot paprika. When cooked, I stirred in sautéed onions, red pimientos, mushrooms and pineapple. Last step, I added some garlic salt and a splash of buttermilk, mixed it in. I hope she likes it!
