I Miss Someone Very Much

When my head hits the pillow and the dream comes to mind, he is always there to take my hand. But this time, the dream was in the same place, the same scenery, the same light, but he wasn't there. It was quiet, too quiet. I looked around, hoping to find him, but nothing. When I woke up, I couldn't help but think maybe I have settled my fears. I'll never know until the next time that dream hits my pillow.
