Why is it that you don't believe in therapy anymore? [I Am Depressed]

Mine has saved my life

I don't want to pay $50 an hour to someone who makes me talk 95% and the 5% they do talk is exactly what I already know. You have a problem, seek logical, practical solutions. You wanna vent, do it with a friend. You have a genuine mental illness, go to a psychologist. Shrinks are frauds
@Nomad7 i guess one could talk to their own dog or plant that rate 😄

@Nomad7 $50/hour? Can't talk to a dog groomer for that. Obviously you have clue whatsoever.

@SStarfish That's the USD equivalent in India, but you just drove home my point. It's not worth the money
I do but not all Drs. are equal

I think my therapy helped quite a bit, but it helped. It didn't fix anything. That was on me. But I remember and appreciate my therapist.
I do. I believe it can be very helpful, with the right therapist and with a patient who’s committed to working things out.

@bijouxbroussard I agree. The patient has to be willing to do the work.

@bijouxbroussard True. If the motivation is there then a therapist can really help a client along their journey.
