I took a friend who was a recent immigrant to the U.S. (from a poor country) to her first ever big fireworks show. We were sitting there, I looked over and there are tears streaming down her face. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "It's just so beautiful."
Not sure if that falls under 'romantic' but it's sure something I'll never forget.
