He is using legal means to give his actions an appearance of legality while he undermines Democracy.

@softspokenman Mr Trump and his supporters do not have genocidal intentions, so the comparison to the Nazis is very much flawed, in my opinion. It's more similar to the dying democracies in Hungary and Poland.

@helenS I'd argue he's closer in his outlook to Mussolini. His obsession with nationalism, militarism and traditionalism is already a factor there. The other part is him refusing to berate his street gangs like the Proud Boys and encouraging the "2nd Amendment people" to interfere with the election.

@basilfawlty89 Mussolini was belligerent, whereas Mr Trump is not, as far as i can see.
@helenS Yea, I think he fits the definition of belligerent : "Hostile and arrogant". At the first debate with Joe Biden and then refusing to do a second one. ☺️

@softspokenman Then I have used to wrong word – I am sorry. 🌷
I thought "belligerent" means "fond of war", "warlike", "militant", "militaristic", always willing to start a war.
Foreign languages aren't always easy 😐
@helenS You're definition is "one" of the definitions for belligerent 👍. No apology needed ☺️
