@Mikemcneil The funny thing is the opposite is truth. People have had guns at schools shootings before, some people actually use the gun but most don't. In many cases most get shot by their own firearm or end up killing students.

Having a gun isn't everything, I support evolution and with evolution there is something called flight or fight response. I know most people think they would act like Chuck Norris but the truth is many will freeze or run away.

Managing your fight or flight response during high stress events is a skill one can learn but let's be honest.. most 'MUERICAN gun owners don't even get up off the couch. I'd like to know how that turns out in a real stressor situation. Someone can have a gun but that doesn't guarantee they'll turn into Chuck Norris. I highly doubt all gun owners have reached out to that sort of training.
