I Hate Donald Trump

I don't know Trump, not personally anyway. I know only what he says and does, and 99% of it is objectionable in the extreme. What I hate, if that's the proper word, is how he has given voice to the xenophobic population of our country, of how he has divided our country as never before.

People with small, bitter/hateful, self-serving minds have flooded to his cause, and much to my chagrin, there seems to be many of them. Many of these people have lived small lives. Never traveled, never seen what is on the other side of their city/community, much less their state or country. They simply live and think small. They have no notion for anything not them. Worse, they fear and hate anything not them, and to my way of thinking, that is 180 degrees out and totally inconsistent with what we are, or have espoused our country to be. It goes against our founding principles, against what I and many before me fought for.

Worse yet is that there are large numbers of people who follow and support him who have not lived small lives. These people are knowingly destroying our country with their greed, the self-serving, privileged actions and rhetoric.

It is a time I thought I would never see. I am ashamed of us as a country; but proud to stand against Trump and his followers, and ever will be. Time, reason and decency will prevail, of that I am certain. Until then I stand opposed to this man and his followers, totally, absolutely, and without equivocation.

I could go on and on, but I suspect you get what my thoughts are.

To suggest that Trump was the only alternative to Hillary, and therefore is now the best President, is a suggestion that in and of itself, is inane. To say brashness, or that he is a rich man and therefore somehow a good choice, is inane. Look at how he became rich - no, really, take a look and study it.

I do not think Hillary was the best choice, nor am I a Liberal. I've voted in every Presidential election except one, and that was years and years ago, and I've never voted along any party line. I've voted both for Republican and Democratic nominees.

Regardless, he is not a good, or even decent President, and it doesn't matter who went before, who he won against, or anything other than is he good for the country. Actually, only time will tell; but for me, for now, I stand with what I said.

@veoh112 he has 4 bankruptcies . 4, He used the available protections under the law to his advantage as they were intended when those 4 ventures failed , yet he created over 250 multimillion dollar companies and is a billionaire , a world renowned businessman, a media mogul , and a television personality and the President ...WHAT , may I ask , have you ever done ? Besides sit on your ass and criticize... ?

@veoh112 When you compare a handful of business failures against scores of huge victories you see how that argument falls flat.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
@PennyHenny Its because these victories are non assisted either way it falls back because has the fiances to prove otherwise. Just because some is rich dose not mean they are more intelligent as I said, this is the sort of system they want.

Trump also denied an ongoing grant to a group that helps stop far right extremism. The group was formed by an ex-Nazi.

I was kind of suspicious of Trump when I read that. According to the white house, it was to solely focus on Islamic extremism. However since homegrown extremism is actually more than any other terrorism it made zero sense to me.

Trump may or may not "be" apart of these groups but it cert. looks like he at least supports some of their ideals being that he's also re-tweeted some of these far right fringe conspiracy groups.

I am somewhat amazed (although I shouldn't be), in how this turned into mostly a party line thing. I addressed the character, voice and actions of Trump the man, and what he has brought about, and had zero to say about liberals or conservatives. My comments were not party oriented, yet many want to interject what they want to say about their opposing agendas, not respond to what the comment was about. Like I said, typical, a diversion from the subject, and to my way of thinking, it goes a long way in proving my point.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
@frequentlyme Yes you said you appose people who have are xenophobic and have lived a life in where you disagree with, where they follow Trump. There are many factors as to why those things come about because not everything is black and white. I think it still addresses the issue at whole and a discussion but hmmm I might be just a small minded suburban minded thinker like you mentioned.

@frequentlyme Hey being an ex Trump supporter I 100% agree. I can say from my own experience that people just pretty much see what they want to see.

I look at it like this:

On one hand Trump made his platform about helping the "working class" people and within good reason. Calling out to them. On another hand, he called out to ultra nationalist groups by running on their platform. Also a healthy dose of fear mongering got him elected.

I'm pretty sure in personal life, a lot of people are the same way with friendships. We often ignore several warnings with toxic people because toxic people are SO good at making you see what THEY want you to see. We all have bias blind spots and a good politician knows how to exploit those because most people don't go out of their way to review what their own biases may be.

Yes I know Trump ran his platform under the fact that he's not a politician but he plays the game like one and that's all that matters.

I am happy a older man dislikes trump usually they love trump. You are so right he has given the voice for xenophobic people, which is going to be even worse for us because he represents the US.
PennyHenny · F
It's politics. It's not like it isn't the same with any other politician. Unfortunately this last election was a race without many options. Trump is just the better choice as far as basic economic issues go and the rampant spending of Obama and Bush needed trimming. Better a guy that's obnoxious but does a decent job than someone voted in because they have a vagina.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
@PennyHenny Everyone you know.... even if that did happen theres reasons why they voted for him and they didn't even get it lol. Also I cant understand what you are saying are you talking about war? We give it a lot of time and thought because that what you should do when you give someone power. And the reason why millennials are commenting on it is because we have access to it with the internet so we are able to see what they are saying during the debates.

Yes its important to speak your mind which is what we are doing right now hmmmmm. I am not for hilary I am for Bernie who was actually intellectual enough to be considered a president. I do not think I am being childish to political parties, I know allow about political parties and I do not think the left are the ones who are going to soon die out hopefully.
PennyHenny · F
@veoh112 Everyone has a reason for voting and supporting politicians the way they do. But how about you don't pretend you know the mind of people you don't even know, sweet lilikoi.

None of the heads of this beast are going to die off any time soon. They're just going to roar and fight among each other as usual.

I couldn't stand behind Bernie for the fact of simple econonomics. Good ideas to some degree but plenty of good ideas go bad when there's nothing there to back it up.

Personally, I was a Johnson/Weld girl myself.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
Everyone does have a reason for voting obviously. And those reasons are apart of what believe in which is why us leftist disagree with you and mostly dislike them. Well exactly they are not going to die off because they are still in power, especially since Trump has won the electoral vote unfortunately. Which you can also say is fueling the capitalism.

I think there is more to back up with what Bernie believe in then anything compared to what Hilary or Trump has said. If you actually do your research about Bernie and listen to more of his talks hes is extremely intelligent and by far more Intelligent than Trump, but at the end of the day it is due to socio economics.

Another triggered Libtard ... no surprise there ! There is no problem with a safer America , or the enforcement of existing laws . It seems typical that what is good for America is bad for the liberal/socialist/globalists. What else is typical is the insane and incessant whining and complaining that libs just have to do . Actually that aspected ... you’re whining , is very comforting because finally we have a President that can’t be bought or bullied and stays the course on the agenda we elected him to complete . Haters are gonna hate ... whiners apparently never stop whining . I should buy stock in Kleenex .

@softspokenman The still undecided overly picky future voter that I am would like to point out it was Trump that signed in the new VA regulation after years of the reform getting pushed to the side by clinton, bush and obama.

Making generalizations based on party stereotypes doesn't suit you well, good sir.
The US Dept of VA says that veterans make up one-third of the nation's homeless population. The VA estimates that on any night there are approx. 200,000 homeless vets on the streets and in shelters. As many as 400,000 deal with homelessness at some point each year. It's not about parties, it's about PEOPLE. @PennyHenny
veoh112 · 22-25, F
@PennyHenny I am not making generalizations based on party stereotypes thats actually what your doing lol funny how irony works. I am not a future voter because I can vote and I do vote and I voted for Hilary because I live in a republican state. But that dosent matter at the end of the day like the author of the story mentioned. But if I could choose a party I would pick the green party which is a third party.

Thats great for Trump I already knew that hence I said he didn't do "most" of the things he promised to do for his right side party. And I also said the right side should hold those standards to what Obama did.

At the end of the day I do not base people on certain stereotypes nor do I think other people should. But I like to be around like minded people.

We have one of the lowest educations, out healthcare system sucks, our court judicial system sucks, blah blah blah. Our wages are still not enough for a person to make a living with their family. Do you not see that everything devolves around capitalism.

Even the people on the right side believe in the stuff that Bernie says and agree with. In New York you are eligible for free education and that is the same for other countries too. Which is why people compare.

I agree fully. Looking at him giving a speech, is like looking at a re-run of Mussolini.
