Was/is your high school dress code too strict, in your opinion?

No uniform but I once was sent home cause I was wearing Capri trousers.🤔 So...more stupid than strict.

Nah, it was fine. You didn't do anything to fuck with anyone, go too wildly outside the norm, you were fine.

yes I used to protest it all the time. It pissed me off that we had to wear dresses or skirts with stockings but then they'd also make us wear really short sports skirts. I protested their double standards all the time and pushed the boundaries of the rules and my mother made them allow me to wear shorts.. a couple years after I left the uniform was changed to allow shorts and trousers as long as they were the right colour

Nah I went to a non uniform school so all it was was smart casual

Most English Secondary schools/High schools have uniforms.
Used to be:
Blue or black jumper/sweater
White button down shirt/blouse
School tie
Black/blue trousers/skirts
Maybe a Blazer too.
Black shoes.
Although in more recent times some schools favour Polo shirt with school emblem and sweatshirt in place of shirt and tie.

I had a uniform but they weren't that strict about it. If it was the right colours they didn't care too much unless there was an OFSTED inspection.

nope. it wasn't. I went to a Montessori school growing up and they weren't too crazy.

we didn't have one, but we had parents that knew how to raise their children

For girls, yeah. I got in trouble for not wearing a bra once . it was humiliating
