Why do people ask 'Did It Hurt?'

I can remember getting a school paddling and each time when one came away with a burnng bottom and tears in your eyes some idiot (usually a boy) would always ask: "Did it hurt?" Why do people ask such an idiotic question?

Perhaps they realy wanted to know how much it hurt .. I would not ask that of a red terry eyed girl .. .. But I did meet a girl in the hall on my wat to see the Vice Principal .. .. I did my best to consle her and asked who hert her .. .. I said we should find who ever did this to her ... I was heading to Mr H's office and I was sure he could help .. .. she went from crying on my shoulder to pushing me away yelling No you don't understand and entered the bathroom .. .. by the end of my visit to Mr H's office my understand was clear ... ..

Strange as it may seem, some students, including girls, actually said that the paddling they got did not hurt, just admitted that it "kinda stung at first," or that it "stung a little." And there were some who even managed to smile or grin when coming back to class. Maybe they were just trying to play tough. Do you remember how many paddlings you received while you were in school?

Silly question I agree. But as it happens, when I was aged 9 or 10 I got the slipper twice at school, the two occasions within a few weeks of each other. The first hurt a lot, the second not very much. The paddle can be much worse than the slipper, I know.

Hurt so good

Cough

After my first taste of the slipper (with several other boys, in front of the class) one member of the audience told me that I got it harder than the others. That cheered me up a bit, though it didn't make it hurt any less.

I never saw a girl get paddled, so I never heard a girl asked that. Boys just wanted to try to say it didn't hurt. Even the lightest paddling hurt a little.

I also been asked, mostly by other girls, "will it hurt?" when they were lined up for their first slippering or caning.
Shade70 · 51-55, M
Well, did it? (Sorry, had to be said...)
Candice · 46-50, F
Yes! Every time! 😩
Shade70 · 51-55, M
Well that's good. No sense in just going thru the motions for no effect.
SW-User
I know, right.
SW-User
Tell them why dont you try it and then tell me?
