Yes. People don't care what I'm doing on the weekend or how my day went. They just can't stand the silence.

I find this to be true as well. Often it's painfully obvious that people use social interaction to mask a lack of depth. They don't want to think about the world or their lives or the future, so they talk a lot of shit to distract themselves
