If you can swing it...early in the morning....Sunday mornings are good...or late at night. Saturdays are a train wreck....also, if you live in a big city try going out to the burbs....first, it's nice to get out and drive and also sometimes they have more stuff! :)

I went yesterday morning around midday.
Went to a Morrison's store.
Odd queuing arrangement snaking around the car park.
6 feet line measurements indicating where shoppers should stand between each other.
They were allowing ten shoppers in at a time and not allowing anyone else in until at least 6 had left the store.
Managed to find most of what i wanted although noticeable that fresh fish was absent as was flour.
Did manage to find what was called 'bread flour' bagged-up in paper bags.
I assume this is from their bakery department since they reduced their bakery working hours last week now to just one shift a day apparently.
Haven't tried it yet.
Toilet rolls were available although few brands you'd recognize.

Definitely more queues in the morning. 10-11pm is probably the best time.

@NickiHijab yeah, if you go first thing in the morning, you probably need to get there 30min before the shop opens

5pm onwards is the best time here, the queues are short or non existing
