Is it appropriate to deliver a lecture on covid-19 to high school students after the quarantine is over?

Holidays were announced from the week in which I was supposed to present the lecture, so I called the supervisor and they said they'll arrange it when holidays are over.
I'm just wondering whether or not it would still be appropriate and/or beneficial to educate high school students on the topic...
I mean I guess but what impression would you take as a student about a belated lecture?

Is it even really belated or is it so just in my head because I was supposed to deliver this on a specific date that's passed?

In Australia we are expecting the worst month to be August when it is the height of the Flu season with this COVID-19 illness still being present. The WHO are saying the US is most likely to become the next epicentre of this illness. So, you may feel it is old news but it will become extremely serious news soon when the death rate starts increasing.

As most school children are asymptomatic, they need to know they could unknowingly infect their grandparents, so any lecture will not be too late.

So now I'm making it more about the biology surrounding the topic of viruses and contagious diseases, and a bit about the notorious Chinese exotic farming, instead of making it [i]all[/i] about covid 19...i hope a little controversy would keep their interest 🤭

Anyway, history is an important part of education and so I think you should inform them. There's nothing more dangerous than an ignorant society.
