Yes, but I didn't learn to type as well as I do from that class. I learned on my own through instant messaging. I eventually was able to touch type.

I took typing in HS in the 60's. Was a common elective for guys and gals who thought they might head to college.
I am a 10 finger typist but not very fast...55-60 wpm.

I took it for a couple of years in high school as it was an elective. And I type quickly on a lap top with all fingers in motion. On a cell, I use one finger only.

No-typing was only for girls which is why i type with one finger.Stupid 70s.

I took typing in junior high school and was okay at it - about 80 words per minute. But I got a lot faster after I started talking with people on social media.

We had to learn how to type, but there was no specific typing class. Of course, I was in school on the tail end of the floppy/zip discs.

I sure did. 2 guys 17 girls. It was a great class and since my Mother taught me to type before I got to HS I spent to day “helping” others.
