Are “good guys” beta males, and “evil guys” alphas?

ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
No -- but I HAVE noticed that men who call themselves "Alpha" tend to be overbearing assholes looking for an excuse for their actions.
@ChipmunkErnie good point

@ChipmunkErnie @QuixoticSoul Agreed. I think labeling oneself like that, is wishful thinking/ego boosting or to cover some insecurity.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Alpha/beta thing is mostly retarded altogether, and has no real bearing on good/evil.
@QuixoticSoul interesting. So those categories are unrealistic
TakingBackMidgard · 26-30, M
Nope. Depends on how you assert yourself. A person who is willing to take charge or step in is a prime example of an alpha.

A beta doesn’t want to put effort socially and waits for opportunity to find them. They’d rather be told what to do and when to do it.
@TakingBackMidgard how do those definitions you gave weigh in with moral concepts of good and evil?
TakingBackMidgard · 26-30, M
@Temporallube all depends on perspective. Remember. The Nazis saw themselves as the good guys and the allies as the evil guys.

And the allies saw themselves as the good guys and the Nazis as the evil guys.
@TakingBackMidgard excellent point. And excellent screen name, even though I prefer staying in Niflheim for vacations.
Good guys are beta males because as their mother has brought them up, they have a sense of responsibility and think before they act. Women don't like guys who ponder every little step of their way before they even lift a finger to act.

Evil guys were brought up parentless or by their dad, so they usually have no sense of responsibility and they possess all the typical masculine defects such as recklessness, act before you think, irresponsibility, acting on impulse, etc. Women like guys who directly act rather than think.
@Existentior interesting. So you never met a responsible and virtuous alpha in your life?
@Temporallube Difficult question. Most alphas I've met are always reckless or have some type of ego problem.
Good guys go about their lives productively and confidently

Beta males do not, then moan about why women don't like them but always choose the 'evil alpha guys'

It's quite comical really
@BeefySenpie 😂 it does. Are their “good alpha guys” in your view?
a good person has nothing to do with alpha or beta classification. You can be kind either way. you can be an asshole either way too.
@gobacktoyourroomandstudy interesting. So you believe alphas and betas do exist then?
@Temporallube in human beings yes, not formally, but as a slang, all relative to stereotypical societal norms, that cannot be disregarded except as the elephant in the room.
@gobacktoyourroomandstudy nice response. I’d love to watch you identify the elephant in any future discussions you have with others.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
I`m Beta. Yes still in the testing phase. 😬
@Degbeme Degbeme 2.0? 🤔
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@Temporallube Not quite there yet. 🤭
lilida · 22-25, F
@lilida that’s very alpha of you
lilida · 22-25, F
@Temporallube thx 😄
@lilida 🙌🏽
DDonde · 31-35, M
Don't buy into the alpha/beta bullshit.
@DDonde money is not really “real”, but it’s still a social reality. So is the concept of “deity”.

Despite you calling them made up stuff, do you think people who believe in those concepts make them “real” for themselves? And by extension, make others be influenced by their assumed behavior of what an alpha or beta is supposed to be?
DDonde · 31-35, M
@Temporallube No, "Alpha/Beta" are supposed to be objective descriptions of people.
Money is real. it's an abstraction, but it has a measurable impact.
@DDonde interesting

SW-User
@Temporallube Yes I have
@SW-User was it a good experience for you?
SW-User
@Temporallube Yes he was a great person actually
@MURD3RM0NK3Y that’s honest. Appreciate that
Zonuss · 41-45, M
The most dangerous men are beta males. 🙂
@Zonuss so you believe that alphas and betas exist then?
I think it’s an artificial system of men’s room “measuring”. When I’ve heard it used, “Alpha” was always the term men used to described themselves, “Beta” their rivals (for whatever reason).
