Commuting to college was the dumbest decision I've made.

I have no freedom. My parents feel they need to know my schedule. They complain about my student teaching placement. They never care what I have to say about school anyways. They want to track my phone. They need to know who I'm texting. Like the people I know don't even do crazy stuff...just make late night runs to get food...but like that would never be allowed for me

@antisocialbutterfly You mean the special needs part? That does take practice, but it's dooable for someone that wants to.

Have you done any type of volunteering that would give you an idea what it's like? That may be good so you and everyone can see how it goes...

I had quite the opposite problem. I didn't have a choice when my parents essentially threw me out and told me I had to live there.

Sounds to me though that your parents should back off. They are being way too intrusive.

Ik this isn’t what you want to hear, but my mom was the same way. My motto was when I don’t live there anymore i can do what I want but for the time being , moms house moms rules 🤷‍♂️
