So... This happened

I re-joined my previous company about 2 months ago in a new role. As a content writer. Both the old and new employees liked me because I have a general open and friendly demeanor.
Today my boss told me to also take up some HR responsibilities. Like conduct the first round of telephonic interviews for prospective employees so that she can only handle the shortlisted candidates.
I said okay because it seemed fun. And a back end work like content writing van get boring.
Now... My fellow employees seem a little guarded around me.
And... That sucks.

Even if it is true that your boss wants to groom you.. how do you feel about the possibility of that?

Unmotivated people will always make you feel bad for being more ambitious than them. It's the ol' "misery loves company" mentality.

If you like the idea of growing and promoting in the company, then keep working hard.

Don't bother you do your work I presume your boss wants to promote you. In life to progress you sometimes need to ignore few things and just focus on your as only few people reach top

@Heretodaygonetomorrow why don't you think so? Is it impossible that you're being groomed for a higher position? or is he just overburdening you with new responsibilities? That's common now...bosses get people to do the work of many for the same pay

@Heretodaygonetomorrow I was in a very similar situation at a job...it bothered the hell out of me when my co-workers changed after I got a promotion. What worked for me was talking to them about it...asking why they changed....most told me...some were just resentful...also I was as friendly and outgoing as I was before...I was just putting them at ease and telling them that nothing would change...talking to them about it will heal it quickly
