What are the bad side and the good side of taking SAT?

BlueVeins · 22-25
Good:
-It can help get you into the college you want if you do well.
-It's good practice for tough exams you'll take in higher education.
-It can diagnose weaknesses for you to correct.

Bad:
-It costs money.
-There's a time committment.
-It quantifies your academic prowess and encourages comparison, which can be unhealthy if you're sensitive.

@BlueVeins Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, no matter how much we dislike it, we still have to take it for our dream school. I hate when everything set up that way.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@SW-User Eh, it's a very rational setup. Colleges have no other foolproof way of accounting for grade inflation and low-quality extracurriculars.
SW-User
@BlueVeins It is a very rational setup, that's true. It is a fair setup, but useless in some way.

Well, in general, nothing is free. We all have to go through something in order to achieve something.

@IstillmissEP Well, for me, one is enough. The IQ is important to me, not the SAT. But in general, a test will not lead us where we will be in life. We are the one who decides where will we headed in life.

if you want to go to college...take it
SW-User
@BlueVeins Indeed. That is why I see no long-term benefit from it.
SW-User
@TexChik In the process of doing it. I'm taking a break.

@SW-User 😉👍🏻You got this
SW-User
Ya pay for it.

If you're smart/lucky at guessing you can get scholarships out of it.
SW-User
@SW-User Well, I'm pretty sure I can get a scholarship if I have enough time to focus on study. This summer will be the proper time to settle down for it.
SW-User
@SW-User Ya can do it!
SW-User
@SW-User Thanks. I'll try my best.
