Anyone have any advice on how to survive college?

I’m getting stressed out and could use a bit of help. Any advice you have would be appreciated.

get a planner. Plan study time, work, fun stuff. dont wait til the last minute to start studying. The first few weeks of school is very slow. Don't waste it. Get ahead (advice for next semester). Talk to the counselor if you need to. Use the Cornell Method for note taking. If you've never heard of it and you think you take good notes, TRY IT. I thought I was a good note taker until I tried the Cornell Method. No need to make flash cards with it.Changed my life. Also, use quizlet to help you study.

Ear plugs. They help you tune out distractions so you can study. These are the most comfortable.

Surround yourself with good friends who know when to make you drop the text book and take a walk in the park.

Just do your best. As long as you're showing up to class and putting in effort, your instructor (s) may go easy on you. It's your responsibility to ask them for help, though. You're considered an adult so don't expect anyone to hold your hand.

1. Hire someone to take your tests.
2. Photoshop your head on an athlete's body and (falsely) claim you a member of one of the college sports teams.
3. Be prepared to go to jail. Uni will suddenly seem easy.
Eat well, sleep well, don't skip studying or coursework, stick to a routine, get a study group, a TA or a private tutor. Avoid partying (too much). Routine is important.

The most important thing is to always go to class. It's surprisingly easy to start slipping there. But that's how the spiral starts.

Office hours are great too.

@SW-User I’m surprised it’s mandated - here the professor can run their class pretty much any way they want. Some also have strict attendance policies, but it’s rare, especially as things move up the ladder.

@SW-User Well, it should certainly make passing the tests a lot easier. But information is information - it’s always available elsewhere. Especially when it comes to science, engineering, and math - if you understand it, you understand it.
