What is the name of this type of knife?

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
Ok so apparently "knuckle knife" means something different in America than it does in my country. This type of knife is called a T-handle.
MethDozer · M
@BlueMetalChick That's because terms like that are made up arbitrary terms made up by know nothing politicians. It's like "gravity dagger" and the difference between switchblade and "spring assist". They mean whatever the politicians decide to say they mean.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MethDozer Where I'm from, a knuckle knife is any knife where the blade is intended to be held between the fingers and protrude past the knuckles. But I guess in West, a knuckle knife is a knife with a guard shaped into knuckledusters.
LadyAlera · 31-35, F
@BlueMetalChick Many seemed to recommend your expertise so I'll take your word for it! Thank you! :D
It is a Benchmade CBK. Average cost is about $90. Benchmade is a great brand.
@BlueMetalChick nice collection. How do you like that SOG? I have a SOG SEAL Team Elite, haven't bought any others by them, but it is another great knife.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@LesserUgly I've never used it for anything. Someone gave it to me as a gag gift just cos it's so fucking huge, but it's pretty decently built.
21stCenturyFox · 26-30, F
Jonathan?
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
post it to bladeforums

I'd say a push dagger
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MethDozer I just looked it up and apparently "knuckle knife" means something different in America and Canada than it does in my home country. In the US, these things are called T-handle knives.
MethDozer · M
@BlueMetalChick Among other things, but yeah.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@MethDozer It gets consistent results on Google Images so I went with it. If you type in "T-handle knife" you'll get all pictures of these things.
I don't know but @BlueMetalChick will not only know, she probably has one.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@BiasForAction I do not have one but it's called a T-handle.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick once again educating people.😏 You might make a fine teacher with your acidic charm and wit.
KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
If memory serves that’d be a trench knife?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@KingofPizza2 Not quite, but good guess. This is a trench knife.

KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick Unlike the knives, I’m a bit rusty!
Tminus6453 · M
Butterfly... i can see it
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Tminus6453 Am I never NOT on drugs?

And why do you ask? Are you implying that a person needs to be on drugs to recognize the Benchmade logo?
Tminus6453 · M
@BlueMetalChick I'll excuse you then
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Tminus6453 For what, knowing what a butterfly knife is when you didn't? You're gonna excuse me for being right?

Dan193 · 31-35, M
Looks like a kunai

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Dan193 Just so you know, by "that" I was referring to the picture by the OP. The picture you posted IS a kunai.

Either way, this knife is called a T-handle. It's meant to be a push dagger.
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@BlueMetalChick Hm, well my second guess was an assassin dagger, because I felt like I saw something like that in an AC multiplayer game.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Dan193 Yes, these are generally intended for things like that.
I don't know but it's beautifully made...you gonna keep it in yer boot?
