tapering off one anti-psychotic and building up another... its meant to get worse before it gets better right?

i feel like somethings not quite right about this, about a week after i started to cut down the dose of the drug ive been on for 3 years, i started hearing more voices and the more i cut down the worse they are getting, but the new pills take like 6 weeks to fully take effect, ive been taking them for like 2 weeks.... kinda scared im going to relapse, bloody awful timing right before christmas

[c=#7700B2]oh abilify. I hope it works for you, I haven't heard good things about abilify. I know it does help some people but does nothing for others. My brother went on it and it was like he was not even on medication..
Here if someone has been on antipsychotics for a long period of time and are tapering off it for another medication, they are hospitalised so that they can be monitored and know if it is working or making things worse.

I do hope you start feeling better and if you feel things are getting worse, that you go talk to the one prescribing you the meds[/c]
