I will spell it "re" when it is pronounced "rē". As long it's pronounced "ər", I'm spelling it "er". The same goes for "ss" vs "zuh", and superfluous "u"s. And all ending single consonants following a short vowel will be doubled before adding any suffixes that start with vowels, to maintain proper form for short vowel sounds.

@OggggO He's the reason you guys have this problem.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@NeloAngelo Nope, the spellings predated him.

@OggggO i mean he's the one who spread it to 5 generations of american children. the bastard

England uses one form while the US uses another form of spelling. These are all both correct.
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@SW-User just because the person who wrote the american version of the English dictionary couldn't spell doesn't mean the rest of you shouldn't.

@NeloAngelo Nice troll.
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@SW-User thanks ^_^

Dialects exist.
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@DDonde that's just an excuse for bad spelling.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@NeloAngelo It's not bad spelling, it's just adherence to a different standard.
NeloAngelo · 26-30, M
@DDonde an incorrect standard.
