Is it ok for guys not to hit back when a girl hits them?

If something like that happens in public,a girl hitting a guy,no one cares,but if the guy hits back everyone loses their minds and start defending the girl like omg you just hit a girl,shame on you completely ignoring the girl hit first.
I'm wondering what rights and what equality some womens are talking about these days when its clear the males are the most mistreated ones in society.

I don't think it's fair for a woman to hit a man and if she does she strikes the first punch then she deserve to be slapped.

@Aydao I saw on a video a high school girl beating up a high-school boy and he tried to walk away and she kept following and beating him.
