Are "observant" and "secretive" two personality traits that go hand in hand?

Since this question (arguably) deals with the playing of word. I find it a good idea to look at the definition of the words.

Observant; "good or quick at noticing things" while that. where as
Secretive; "People who are secretive hide their feelings, thoughts, intentions, and actions from other people"

Hereafter, one can argue that it is possible for an observant person not to be secretive. While it is also indeed possible. Since these two definition does not have to collid, and are even somewhat independent of each other. So to answer your question. It seems that it is not necessarily the case, and that they do not at all have to go hand in hand. (which does not mean that they for some can, but it would be unfair and perhaps unwise to conclude that they always would go hand in hand).
