Isn’t it just frustrating when your mom says your college major is stupid?

What’s stupid are parents not encouraging their children in their studies.

That's not a good thing to do to a child, especially as I see you want to be a SPED teacher. That's a special calling, and if you want to do that, go for it. There's a lot of job security even in districts that may not be hiring, once you have the SPED certification.

She probably knows you're destined to never find a job in the field you've chosen.... and that means you'll be living at her house forever.

Some just are. A few at mine are pretty useless.

Well some degrees are stupid

Mine was the same as hers (education). But I like to think she would’ve encouraged me even if it hadn’t been, because I was finishing college. Not everyone does.
