Did you know Mongolia is the only country with horse riders?

My country has schools where we learn how to ride on horseback, it is standard curriculum for every young child to excel in horse maneuvers. When a student fails their horsemanship test they must have pebbles thrown at them until they are better than the the top students. While riding on a horse it is very important not to be more than 70kg or your horse will be incapable of turning at the angles required for success.

In my region there were four boys that could not pass the test for 8 years and their parents had to starve them for a week. When they finally finished their exams they could make 12 degree turns and their horses could jump up and down the mountains. They were given the Khan's award for spectacular horse guidance and they are my best friends. I'm still testing and next summer I will get the pebble treatment if I fail.
