I Am a Computer Geek

I have always loved anything electronic. I would always be interested in cars, trucks, computers, anything like that. When I was in middle school I took Technology as an elective and I got the highest grades. Girls in my generation are only known to look beautiful and to practically nothing. I want to change that. I've been learning how to take apart/put together many different things, and I'm still learning how to make successful robots. I have a purpose. To show that girls and women are more then just a pretty face.

I think there is this stereotype with women in technology, I was the only woman in my college class and there were times where I felt "out of place" but I think people need to encourage it more
a lot of people on this site forget who I am when interacting with me to the point where it's kind of sad. I'm 2nd generation Tech Nerd from my Father and I used to crawl between the cubicles and hang out with the admittedly rather over weight Davie, HUGE, Over 40 something year old lesbian female who was my fathers best friend for years who he was always talking about in the very next cubicle. He was a Mainframer.

When I see women in Tech I don't even bat an eye, it's like such a non thing to me, I totally get it and why they're into it.

IT doesn't ever shock me when women can actually program even though I don't write code myself. I've grown up in the shadow of female coders so...

That very attitude is not present.

Well that's only a stereotype, which happens because most tend to be that way. I'm sure that any of us with some sense will know that not all girls are like that.

Now this is the type I am looking for.. :D Then we can spend some quality time making robots and stuff instead of walking on streets holding hands and doing nothing..
