I Know the Media Overplay Everything

Are you guys tired already about the "historic" Trump - Kim Jung-un summit news coverage yet? Funny how the fake media are all scrambling over themselves to boost the egos of those two megalomaniacs... Historic, yes "first time a US president meets a North Korean leader". Kudos to Trump for giving Kim Jung-un what he's been dreaming all his life: being treated like an equal, a "respected leader", by a US president. No wonder Kim Jung-un is all smiles these days... And what will the US get out of this, I wonder...? Oh North Korea may "promise" they'll stop pursuing nuclear weapons. Awesome, although just right after this summit had been cancelled, North Korea had already announced it would end its nuclear testing programs (which in itself it was meaningless, since it had been widely reported that the last North Korean "nuclear test" had essentially destroyed the North Korea's nuclear testing facilities...)

So Trump I guess will offer some "incentive" for Kim Jung-un stop something that a) he had already said he'll stop doing and b) he wouldn't be able to do anyways.

In any event, besides Trump boosting Kim Jung-un's ego, what can be possibly be achieved with this "historical summit"? The way North Korea economy functions is as follows:

1. North Korea threatens the world with war

2. The world panics and imposes "sanctions"

3. Sanctions don't work and the world scrambles to offer "incentives" (lifting of sanctions and offering $$) in exchange for NK's "concessions" (promise of peace).

3. Everyone congratulates themselves by having "avoided a conflict".

4. North Korea runs out of money again.

5. Repeat.

Can possibly anything coming out of this summit be more meaningful and lasting than (say) Jimmy Carter's mediation with North Korea in 1994? I don't think so.

But both Trump and Kim Jung-un certainly are enjoying the fake media headlines that makes this seem as if it was some "breakthrough"... Just like in 1994.

My goodness. Can’t we even wait until something actually happens?

@Mamapolo2016 I got a "breaking news" notification in my phone...

"Donal Trump meets Kim Jung-un for summit, shakes hands."

Wow. Shakes hands.

🙄
@drymer I didn’t put that on your phone. President Trump didn’t put that on your phone. Kim Jung-un didn’t even put it there. YOU put it there when you enabled breaking news alerts. And then the media obeyed you. If it makes you crazy, disable the alerts.

See? Easy-peasey.

@Mamapolo2016 Not really... I wish I could set up "what" are breaking news. I want to know about "breaking news" when they're actually news: an earthquake, a mayor terrorist attack, whenever they find the wreckage of flight MH370, etc... But things that are "scheduled" are NOT breaking news in my opinion... Sport results (or anything sports related) are definitely NOT "breaking news" either... But, in order to to hear about "real" breaking news, I must enable it, and deal with those other irrelevant news...
I know. They never have the choice I want on phone menus either. Electronics can be a trial.@drymer
