I Always Feel Fat

I've been fat and I've been athletic/in shape. And one thing I've noticed is that regardless of my weight, I always feel fat. Even at my lowest weight, I always felt too fat to wear certain clothes or do certain activities. I always felt too fat to be attractive.

Realizing this has taught me that confidence really is an internal thing when it's authentic. You either feel attractive, worthy of love, or you don't. What you look like means nothing. I have learned to relax a bit about my appearance. I guess this epiphany comes with age.

I'd still love to feel healthier and be stronger, which is why I continue to exercise and have goals. But it's less about looks and more about quality of life.

100%, I have had some illnesses that caused me to have drastic weight loss. Like 75 pounds in a few months. Even at my lowest, I still felt never quite right in my skin.

So much of it is feeling good about yourself no matter how you look.
