I Think Pit Bulls Are Wrongfully Judged

I prefer the big breeds. I've had a doberman, 2 rotties, husky/cross, have a bull mastiff now. I had my husky, rottie and mastiff at the same time.
I could see myself with a Pit, they come in so many colour variations I don't think they are ugly. I would love one, but can't where I live.

If it's the type of dog I'm thinking of then they were only bred as fighting dogs for blood sports, a terrible, terrible use for an animal.

We were always wary of pit bulls due to their reputation, until we got our malamute/husky mix. When we went to dog parks, he liked the pits and played with them. He was strong enough to play rough with them like they liked. Made us realize that they can be just dogs. Just like any dog, you can mistreat them and make them unhappy and agressive. It is discusting to do so on purpose.

I have to say, the sweetest & gentlest dog I've ever met was a pitbull belonging to a friend of mine. I am not a dog person - I dislike them generally - but Sadie was such a sweetheart, she got me to like her.
