Hang tough! Through my own traumas I've come to redefine what I regard as heroes. They are the people who experience gut wrenching setbacks and find the courage to awaken the next morning and embrace a new day.

I know how unhappy I was as a child when my parents divorced when I was a kid. It was a genuine social stigma back then, in the 1950s, and people gave me a hard time about it, too. People didn't have the guts to confront my parents with their judgmental opinions, so they took it out on me. It took me a long time to lose my anger and resentment and to accept that, at least in my case, it was better for me as well as my parents.

It's incredibly difficult but you'll get through this!

We were all programmed at a young age to think things last forever. At least my generation was taught that however now I look at divorce not as an ending but a new beginning. At least in my case it allowed me to get out from under a rock and grow again!
