I Think Intelligence Can Cause Depression and Isolation

The Burden Of Knowledge... It is my experience that those with intelligence often pursue truth and knowledge. Knowledge is power, as we all know. But it comes at a price. You reach a stage where you know too much, or rather know more than you initially wanted to. This knowledge can be a heavy burden. It can lead you to feeling depressed and isolated. It is the price that we must pay in order to have all the difficult questions in life answered. So now I wonder, if I could do it all over again, would I choose to be ignorant and happy? No. It is a trade, and I am willing to make that same trade a thousand times over. I choose to seek knowledge and truth, no matter what the cost might be. And if I find answers that drive me insane, I will keep digging... for that is my nature.

I sometimes ask myself if i could go back in past would i choose a bit of ignorance in order to be happy.I came to the conclusion that was not a choice to be made. This is how my brain works. The genetics, the education made ne who i am.I look for answers all the time.
So i guess you are the same as me.A "victim" of your own curiosity And rational thinking.
