I Have Been Stolen From

Yep, I finally graduated to a big girl bike, one with more then one gear. It was beautiful red, not my favorite but still a nice red, over 10 gears, a head lamp, and the most comfortable seat I've ever had the pleasure of riding.

I bartered for it, and a fair amount of gardening too. It was brand new, only ridden once and hung in a garage. Freakin perfect. The only problem was a bad tire and the break line had been cut. I can fix both.

Earlier this week, I got a new tube and tire, and fixed the brake line and rode it for the first time on Tuesday evening. It was a dream.... an absolute dream.

I didn't feel bad putting my single gear bike so far back into the cobwebs of my garage. It was creepy hanging it, but it was done with decency. This bike was a life saver, and absolute HELL all rolled up into one. I was over it. This seemed a fitting spot.

Friday morning I was excited getting ready, I was going to take my new bike on it's maiden voyage. I lock the door, get my backpack on and walk down the driveway to my bike... Where is it? I looked around frantically, in disbelief.... it's gone.

Someone came up into my driveway, I mean way up. Like 3 car lengths deep into my backyard, and stole my bike. I give.

Now I have to climb back into the cobwebs and make up with my single gear nemesis. Grrrrrrr.

Thieving bastards.

I've thought of many names to call those who took my bike. Thieving bastards is definitely taking the high road, but that is exactly what they are. Maybe with an 'f'word strategically placed. lol.
