if i paid £300 for an extra 6 month warranty on a car, and then decided 6 weeks into it i didnt want it could i get some of my money back?

i got 6 months for free and paid for an extra 6 months so it was a years warranty in total, but it turns out nothing is covered on it lol, and im now out of pocket £1000 for car repairs cuz the damn thing is useless
