I was wearing an orange color top with tan colored mini skirt... The bell rang for first period, I went into my science class, my teachers eyes was filled with tears. We watched in silence.
I had just finished saddling up my horse, my mom called me, said I needed to go check the news. I was awe struck, I yelled for all the ranch hands and we stood watching the news until the Pentagon was hit. Then it was frantic calls trying to get a hold of my oldest sister, she was working in the Pentagon at the time. Came to find out she wasn't there, it was her first day of vacation.
@MightySizeQueen Thank you, so were we of course. I guess the office she normally worked out of was on the far side of the building from where the plane went in. but still would have been scary if she was there.
I had just put my then six month old daughter down for her morning nap. I watched on CNN with the sound off, and I listened on headphones to the National Public Radio program, "Morning Edition," hosted at that time by Bob Edwards. I watched in stunned horror as Bob said, " ... and the tower is coming down."
