I Believe That Words Are Powerful

I thought I'd wasted my time on you, I gave up. I left because I knew there was nothing more to be said or done. I'd hoped that my leaving would be a catalyst for change in you but could not look back and see if that was the case.

Your letter this morning made me smile and cry at the same time. I can't tell you how happy I am that my words reached you and that you didn't give up. I still want happiness for you, I just felt that all I was doing was enabling the self torture to continue.

I hope you'll see what I did as necessary. I hope you understand that you can love someone without staying by their side and sometimes not staying is the best thing for them.

There were bad times and we both struggled but I will use those times as a lesson and put them to rest. I will always treasure the good times and remember you with love. Everything remains connected, nothing is ever truly lost.
