Which word is more powerful: Beautiful or Gorgeous?

Gorgeous implies that one's eyes can "gorge" on the sight of you. Beautiful can be used as a comparative to other things considered "beautiful," such as a butterfly or a sunset. It would be largely objective, but IMO, gorgeous would be a greater compliment.

Beautiful..because it has the power to be used in so many situations where as gorgeous lacks that ability.

hmm.
I honestly hate compliments. But out of those two, beautiful seems far more genuine. Kinda like something that would be said lovingly by someone to the person they are in love with before falling asleep together at night.
Ya know.
Gorgeous is more about ... well yeah, it's basically just about the body. You look fuckable.
That's just my instant reaction to those two words/compliments.
