I Really Hate Cold Weather

Coldest day of the year so far, wind chills to -35,have ice on the INSIDE of my windows, and I get a text last night from the dem governor telling me I need to turn my heat DOWN because the local utility is afraid of running out of fuel! Ordinarily, I'd suspect some corporate/industrial concerns are behind this (a la the "ozone action coalition" that issues alerts on hot humid days in the summer), trying to get citizens to use less so they can use more (without paying a fine or something). However, this time I've found postings online that the Big 3 have actually suspended production at some of their facilities in response to this request! Needless to say, I've done my part, but not happy about it . . . These people charge me through the nose all year for heat and electricity, and then when I really need it, they tell me I can't use it! (I've also read that some of the heating fuel is being piped out of state and/or to Canada.)
