People tell me I’m an way too sensitive?

Some people say I get upset over little jokes and I need to lighten up and take a joke. My friends say I take life too seriously.
My family was joking with me, giving me a very hard time. I knew they were joking but deep down I died. My niece roasted me literally. I complained about it to my best friend and he said, “Sorry but YOU started it. You roasted her so she got you back.”
My niece who is 12 is good at roasting. Yes we are 5 in a half years apart. She’s my brother’s daughter.
