I Am a Third Wheel

I've reached a new personal record tonight.

I agreed to see a play with a friend of mine, partially because I thought it would just be us seeing it. I found out later her boyfriend was coming with, which is fine, they're a match made in heaven and all. But I third wheel so unbearably hard with these two.

We were late to the play tonight, so when we came in most of the seats were taken. My friend and her boyfriend sat together in one row, and I sat behind them in a foldaway chair in the row behind them; which is fine, it's not their fault, but still kind of sucks my socially anxious self sat next to a stranger for the evening.

It got worse in the intermission when I'm trying to talk with my friend and she and her boyfriend start sucking off eachothers faces. After that I gave up on conversation and just deleted old memes from my phone till the play started again.

Was kind of hoping for a fun night out but I ended up just shutting down because I'm so unreasonably uncomfortable eith PDA

Oh well

I just felt like I needed to make a [i]slightly[/i] intoxicated, poorly written out rant- don't mind me 😌
