I Want To Travel The World

I've traveled and lived in many places all my life...but does anyone dream of just buying a catamaran and simply sailing "away"?

I'm honestly traveled out at the moment but I had a great 3 week driving trip this past summer. I took my grandma home today from a doctors appointment and it's a couple hours southwest of where I live. I stopped at a state park near where she lives and hiked a little. I got my hiking shoes and backpack dirty. I scraped up my legs and I got all sweaty. It was awesome. I saw so much wild life that I don't usually see. I got in my car to go home and I pushed this button in my car and said "take me home" and the GPS took me the worst possible way home, it took me through small towns where you have to slow down to 30 mph as you pass through. There was road construction slow downs and at one point I had to stop for the kind of road construction where you have a guide car to take you through the work zone. AND I hit a toll road too!!!! I am usually an interstate all the way girl but I am also on the way finding struggle bus. It was an interesting sidetrack for sure. Then as I finally got back to the interstate the sun was setting and the sky was painted. The light on the landscape as I passed was magic! I've seen some beautiful really special countryside in my travels but tonight I was loving my 'home'. I thanked God and I said to myself "is this a great state or what!"

I got lost in my reply and I forgot to ask Where have you been? Where would you go?

Not a catamaran, but a 40+ ft monohull sailboat yes. Actually, that was my suggestion to my wife to be (many years ago), but she thought it was a bit weird.... Anyway, I don't much trust catamarans, when those things flip over it's really hard to make them upright again....

With the new hull designs and heavier keels they r improving but double hulled boats are great too. Lots of fun with the extra space
