I Have Been In An Abusive Relationship

Do you guys think a man putting his hands on a woman could ever be justified?
SW-User
No never ever
Lynda70 · F
Yes. If he needs to defend himself from a violent woman's attcak for example.
No, but I've seen it from the other side. My ex-from-hell was abusive and I think she was trying to get me to hit her

Is she beating the crap out of him with something as he tries to get away? Possibly. He has a right to protect himself as well.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@rfhh1959if your life is threatened a man should protect himself. Double standards suck
rfhh1959 · 61-69, M
@ravenwind43 but they do exist. 18 year old males in USA must register for Selective Service but female does not.

@rfhh1959 Yes, so much for equality. :(

If he is defending himself, Yes. In fact, I have personally two-pieced a bitch. She called the cops on me and made up a lie about me, saying that I tried to molest her little cousin. The cops investigated and they didn't arrest her. I put a restraining order on her, which she violated. She kept harassing me until I had enough and one day, she caught me in the parking lot after work and violently pushed my head with her hands, and I knocked her the fuck out.

@SW-User In all sincerity, I believe you could have handled the situation differently. I'm not saying you were wrong.

@Terrasworld True but there's only so much that a person can take. If it were to happen today, I would possibly have called the cops - but there's only so much a person can take. I had been constantly harassed by her. Night and day, calls, I had to change my number. She then called my mother's phone number. She harassed my friends on facebook. She harassed me on facebook. She keyed my car. She cut up my clothes. She also slammed 2 year old baby - her own cousin. This girl was evil. She was truly a psycho, and she had gotten other men arrested with her foolishness. She is probably still doing it. I am a single parent who has a son - I could have did prison time over her foolishness. Quite frankly, she needs to be locked up in a penitentiary or mental asylum.

Never ,EVER .
I have restrained a woman trying to put her hands on me .
but I have never hit or punched a woman in my life .

I did twice in my life "Slap" a hysterical woman to get her to stop freaking out.

And regretted that too ,then she had just cause to say I slapped her and I won't lie I did .

But when she is trying to use weapons on me ,I have been known to restrain women and I can do that without harming them .
I am well trained as to how to take prisoners into custody and not harm them .
and normally it consists of using the momentum of the punch they threw at me and just using that force and commitment against them ,basic self defense .

I have had an ex say I hit her ,and everyone laugh at her .
When she is trying to show a rug burn she did to herself as proof ,
The know ,had I hit her ,she would not be seeing out of her non black eye she said I punched her in for about 2 weeks ,
Anyone who has seen me punch ,knows that is not a punch ,its a rug burn
Where she was trying to get up while she was restrained .
I call the law myself when dealing with an irrational person
I am not catching a domestic battery charge .that would cost me my right to bear arms .

I will hurt a man for hitting a woman ,after she is not a threat to me too .
I lost a good friend who stopped a man from beating on his wife .
and while he was restraining the husband ,she stabbed my friend in the back and killed him ,,I am not letting that happen to me ,,she is being removed from the situation too ,then the cops can deal with it .

Self defense and defense of others who are vulnerable are the only justifications.

Only if invited. The wrong kind of touch deserves an instant kick in the balls.
well is he pushing her out the door and saying farewell?
CalmUnderThePalm · 31-35, M
I hate men who do that.
Lynda70 · F
@CalmUnderThePalm A man has every right to defend himself, even if the attacker is a woman.
Maitha29 · 31-35, F
No he is a eunuch
AngelKrish · 26-30, M
I hate that man!
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
No. Anger can be resorted to words but physical violence does no good.

I understand even words can get ugly but physical violence is the worst way to handle any situation.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
What if the woman asks for and consents to it?
