I Have Been In An Abusive Relationship

I’m happy that I finally got away from it. I was with a person that was extremely manipulating and emotionally abusive. Even though all of the shit they did to me, I still love that person. I know I’m better off without them and I’m happy but i cared and loved that person and I can’t bury those feelings and I don’t know why.

I lived in an abusive marriage...but it didn't start that way. It started out in love. I really loved him. Then he started to change. Just realize that love dies really hard. If it is real love, it never really goes away.

Simply, love doesn’t make sense. I loved my ex more than anything and part of me still does. It’s been almost 5yrs since I left him. I’m glad you see the relationship for what it was and recognize you’re better without him despite your feelings.

When someone abuses you, there is absolutely [i]nothing[/i] worth loving about them. They don't even know the meaning of the word or they wouldn't cause such harm, physically or emotionally, to their partner. Well rid.
