I love mountain biking
We’re approaching mid summers and the earth here is warmed and blooming under a chlorophyll blanket and canopy
To mountain bike late into the evening and night is easy now
But I’m reminded of the reciprocal seasonal change and how upon these mountains I dwell in the autumn and winters twilight and dark… how the contrast is the epitome of polarisation
Up there one December not long ago, in snow and ice… the very last blue hues of nautical twilight, when all lights went out
The enveloping dark was the greatest of all lights
