Good morning everyone! Happy New Year!
It's brisk out this morning as I fed my horses. Sugar and Winston ready and waiting in their stalls. Sugar always give me a nudge as I enter. She is a sweet girl. Now Winston, he's off handish. Doesn't like to be touched. I think his former owners may have been mean to him. After feeding these two I called Jelly Bean. He was out in the pasture hunting for something, anything. Winter leaves the horses bare on grass as it is but with the floods lately, it's a mess in the pastures. Muck and more muck. Jelly Bean is totally blind but manages pretty well. This morning when I called him, he jerked his head up, ears standing tall and started walking in circles. He was so confused on which way to go that I had to walk out to get him. in all that muck! UGH! Once I got a hold of him he was in a hurry to get to his food. It was a fast paced walk back to the gate where I feed him hay. Pour thing was starving! To look at him you would think otherwise. LOL. Dakota, Clyde, and Cookie are no longer with me. Clyde lives with a friend on his farm and Dakota and Cookie have passed on. I miss them!

@Carissimi Hugs Sweetie... I love my horses, they remind me so much of children. All my horses are rescue horses and I see and feel their love.

People that treat animals right are good people. Thanks for sharing, and for rescuing horses... a great story for the start of the year! 👍️☮️
I like this glimpse into your life, Trace. It is amazing how blind animals can function. Do you have any photos of Winston, Sugar, and Jelly Bean? Who is your main riding horse now? Good to see you back here. Happy New Year, Trace, and many more.
