I Love to Write

First, stop comparing what you do with someone else, and try not to find validation, i am sufe that if you put passion on what you are writing, then you will become better and better. Keep on writing...

Me too.. I have really great ideas but all turn to crap when I try and put them on paper

You have to keep trying. I have a whole notebook of stuff I write done.

I love to draw. Some of my drawings are terrible. But because I love to do it, I keep on doing it. And sometimes I'll surprise myself. I'll look at a drawinging and say, "Did I do that? That's not bad."
Someone said you have to be willing to do something poorly, before you'll be able to do it well. So go ahead and do it poorly. Sometimes you'll surprise yourself and do it well.

Best way to write well is to read good books.

Thus spoke Zarathustra had a good effect on me, very rich is symbolism as well, but just read books from great writers and it'll rub off on you.

Even if you think you can't do something, you still should. The best way to get better at anything is practice practice practice.

As everyone else has said, just keep doing it. You'll keep getting better.
