I Enjoy Helping Others

At Uni, people believe in me - they think I'm some sort of intellectual demigod who can grasp concepts in the click of a finger. But I can't. I do pick up some concepts quickly, however I've been failing to do so recently, but having done so for the past 18 years of my life it's difficult to actually comprehend what's going on now. But people don't see that, they see me in the position they elevated me up to in their minds. So how do I learn the concepts they ask me to help the understand?

I learn with them as I mentor them! Could say I'm horrible, but that is the only revision I ever get :D Still hoping for a pass for my four units this semester.
Tried that. Failed. They refuse to believe me. And when I try to prove it they blame it on my laziness rather than a knowledge gap, which makes sense as I am pretty much the epitome of laziness. Well, the laziest student who bothers to come to lectures only to sleep in them.

You'll do well just keep on doing what you're already doing and don't let others affect your way of thinking.

Hell talking about concepts...I'm studying psych and the concepts they're injecting into me are making my brain all fuzzy wen I usually grasp things easily too.
I can't learn properly together, I'll always be that tutor/teacher figure in a study group. I prefer to work better alone if I'm studying for my own benefit because it removes that pressure of HAVING to know what's going on.
Ah well a bit difficult, it's mostly self judgement and projection.

Yeah.. I'm studying Robotic and Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science and Web Design (Double Degree and another course). So, brain = fried.

It's good to know what way of learning suits you best. When you're helping others you can start by saying, 'I found this difficult too.' That might help change their perception of you.

Learning together is good. I hope you pass your units.
