aii sup people i'm shaun and i'm pretty interested in knowing my heritage yknow, so ye, in 4-5 days im going to Aruba for 3 weeks for vacation ( visiting my family aswell that lives there, yes incase you were wondering i am antillean/west indian). And ma aunt promised me 2 help me buy a ancestry dna test.
But for the time being i really dont feel like waiting so im gonna ask more questions and i hope you guys know something of the matter hahaha.
Aii so 2 begin with my surname is "Coffie" i looked it up and most websites say it's of either Irish or Hausa or Ewe origin, i assume the more african choices because 95% of my mom's family is black or brown colored.
and also if you guys could help me i have calculated some of my dad's and mom's sides and i think i would be this.
Mom's side 25% or more % african 12.5% dutch (because my grandma's father was white and their surname is Heymans.) and i heard that my grandpa's mother was most likely of indian heritage but i don't believe none o dat, she was black so either arawak indian or african, i dunno, her surname was Dacosta-gomez -- now my father's side
12.5% irish 12.5% german 12.5% french and most likely also british and scottish.
And also i would like to ask you people one last thing 2 look at to verify if i actually look like what i wrote down and how african i would look assuming most caribbeans are afro-caribbeans.
