I Need to Rant

some receptionists really shouldn’t be working with people .. ‬my sister kindly went to pick up my medication from the doctors early today as she had an appointment herself, and the receptionist went on to speak to her in a manor which wasn’t professional at all .. ‘why do she need so many tablets, this shouldn’t be allowed, she doesn’t need all these etc etc’ in a tone that wasn’t kind at all (from what was described it was more or an aggressive tone) let alone that she’s working in an environment that deals with vulnerable people .. this was all due (as i found out when opening the package with the medication in) due to them putting double the amount of acid tablets in which i have to take due to B12 deficiency ..
‪firstly if there’s a problem with too many tablets it is there responsibility to not give them out due to the safely of the patient, given out both lots of tablets shouldn’t have even been an option, secondly seeing as these tablets are on repeat prescription there shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place, yes mistakes happen but to blame the patient for a mistake that was clearly just that a mistake is unfair and disgusting, speak kindly and sort the situation out in a reasonable manor, there’s just no need for it at all.

rant over!

anyway hope everyone’s well and hope you all have a wonderful weekend. :)

If the office was full of people, that receptionist violated current privacy laws.

@vikiii When a doctor's office leaves a message on your phone to confirm an appointment, they can't say what the appointment is for because of privacy laws.
