I Like to Cook

I love cookbooks! I can go through recipes like novels. Sometimes the older the better and although they may call for lard I usually try not to alter it. After all, the rates of disease have gone UP not down from those days. One "real" stick of butter is much preferable than a tub of chemicals. All in moderation. Cooking is something I do well and I hope to write my own cookbook someday. I have learned to assemble things with complete confidence in the end product. After all that reading maybe I am fooling myself and just have things memorized...lol. Congrats on your find!

recently was given some old cook books . have found many great recipes . still called lard instead of shortening . i try to use as much cooking oil instead . happy cooking .:-)

I use eggs - but only buy from local farm shops - never ever buy from surpermarkets - I hate factory farming!
